Story cards
How to turn your love story into a wedding game
Story cards help guests discover the moments that brought you together. Create your stories in JoinOurDay, download the prepared PDF and place the cards around your venue for guests to find during the celebration.

1. What are story cards?
Each card reveals one part of your story. Guests scan it to read the memory, see the photograph and follow their progress through the collection.
The cards can entertain guests between the bigger moments while helping friends and relatives from both sides get to know your story as a couple.
2. Choose the stories you want to share
Think about the moments that shaped your relationship. You could share how you first met, your first date, the proposal, a memorable trip, a funny misunderstanding or a story most guests have never heard.
A smaller number of meaningful stories can work just as well as a longer collection.
3. Create each story
Add a title, photograph and description to every story. Choose a title that creates curiosity without revealing everything immediately.
4. Download the PDF
Once your stories are ready, download the prepared PDF containing the cards you created.
You can create only a few cards or build a longer trail around the venue. There is no need to use every available space in the template.
5. Place the cards around the wedding
Display the cards in places where guests naturally pause or gather, such as the welcome area, bar, seating plan, guest book, photo booth, garden or quiet seating spaces.
The aim is to encourage discovery without making the cards difficult to find.
6. Let guests discover the stories
Guests can scan inside JoinOurDay, or use their phone camera to open the card link in the app. The story then appears on their phone, while a progress bar shows how many they have found and how many are still waiting to be discovered.
7. When every story unlocks
Every story becomes available automatically 24 hours after the latest scheduled wedding event begins. Guests can then revisit the complete collection without scanning the individual cards again.
